Christmas December 22 2015

Our workrooms are now closed for Christmas. We have had a very busy year and are ready for a rest but we will be back full of enthusiasm to work on our new Spring Collections on Monday 4th January. During the holiday period emails will be answered and orders can be placed.

Party Season December 04 2015

The party season is fast approaching and we have just added some lovely new evening tops to our After 6 Collection. We have also added some fabulous new party dresses to our Vintage Dress Collection.

Halloween this weekend, the clocks have gone back and we are plunged into going home in the dark, it seems that winter isn't far away. Time to check out our Forever Fleece Collection for maybe a warm cosy fleece Kaftan to curl up in.  Also watch out for our new Jersey Collection which will be online early next week.

Bank Holiday Monday and its a miserable day here in Yorkshire but we are very excited.  Our new Collection for early Autumn and some new designs in our Forever Fleece Collection have been photographed and will be online at the end of the week. Summer clearance July 24 2015

Its almost the end of July and we need to make space in our Storeroom ready for our new Autumn samples which are being made and photographed over the next few weeks.

Summer June 19 2015

The weather is warming up and we have had some lovely days so maybe summer is just around the corner.

We have just added our High Summer Collection which has some great garments ready for the holiday season and beyond.

We love our new Challis print trousers, easy to wear, lightweight for packing and in some stunning prints.

New this month is our new lighter weight Crepe, always smart and easy to care for and now in white. It can be found in our New Arrivals Collection.

Cooler days. April 28 2015

The daffodils have almost gone and we have had some glorious weather so far but we have snow not far away from us today. Our Carrie knitted jacket and India knitted top are the perfect cover up for these slightly cooler days, why not check them out, they can be found in our Spring Collection.  

Easter March 27 2015

Easter is almost here and our new Spring collection is online with more styles being added weekly.

Our India knitted top is proving very popular along with the Shelley Jacket in a lovely shade of leaf green.

Our new Spring/Summer Collections are now in production and will be appearing online during the middle of March.  If you are not signed up already to receive our emails why not click the top right hand box and sign up so that we can let you know when they start to arrive.

Saturday of this week - 28th February - will see the last day of trading in our Thirsk shop. We would like to thank all our customers from far and near for your support over the last 15 years and hope that you will continue to keep in touch via our online shop, our Mail Order catalogue or over the telephone 01423 779221.

Christmas Post December 12 2014

Our last posting date for Christmas for the U.K. is Friday 19th December so we need to receive any last minute orders by noon on Thursday 18th.

Our Workrooms will be closing for the Christmas break on Friday 19th December until Monday 5th January.  If you need to speak to us please telephone 01423 779221 and leave a message, we will get back to you within 24 hours or ring our shop on 01845 574413.

The shop in Thirsk will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

New Eveningwear Collection. November 07 2014

What a busy month October was and November seems to be going the same way.  We have had three Photoshoots in the space of three weeks and two of them seem to have been on the windiest days of the year. However we got some good pictures and the Winter and Eveningwear Collections are now complete, although something else may appear before Christmas, you never know !

We have some interesting pieces in our Evening Collection and have added some new colours to the Forever Fleece Collection, we love the new Olive in the Bewerley Smock and think the Purple Poncho looks great - hope you agree.

Autumn Collections September 19 2014

Our new Autumn Collections are now online. Lots of new Jersey designs and some new colours in fleece. New for this Autumn is our Collection of Tweed Skirts, some are made from pure Wool Tweed which is woven here in Yorkshire, they look great teamed with our Fleece Jackets.

Autumn seems to be coming early this year, the leaves are already turning and there is early morning dew so

we are now fully into our Autumn Collection and new items will be appearing every week.

New Spring Collections February 20 2014

What a  lovely day it was last Sunday for our first Photoshoot of the season and a big thank you once again to The Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate for letting us use their lovely Hotel as our venue. 

Our website it now being updated and an email is being sent out on Saturday evening.

Early Spring 2014 February 05 2014

The start of our early Spring Collection is now well underway and our photo shoot is set for the middle of the month, so by the 3rd week of February we will have new Collections on the website.

We are adding our Special Edition Dresses again this year in some stunning prints, from straight fitted shift dresses to very Retro full skirted styles, great for that day at the Races or a special occasion.

We also have some lovely new Linen/Cotton prints in loose fitting tops and Kaftans.

Christmas December 23 2013

Christmas is almost here and I would just like to say a big THANK YOU  to all our lovely Customers.

Evening/Party Collection November 26 2013

At last we have our Evening/Party collection online. We had to have re-shoot so this time we went to The Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate for our venue. 

Such an elegant Hotel with its links to Agatha Christie it was a great place to take our photos. 

We have some stunning new evening fabrics and have used some glitter this time.  Some of the fabrics look thicker than they are, for example the Banchory collection which is quite loosely woven but has a boucle appearance so it would be great for colder homes, a lightweight sweater would wear under it.

The Monaco skirt, which comes in two lengths, will become an addition to my wardrobe for several years to come.  It has some natural stretch and just a scattering of sequins.  The dress in this fabric is very elegant and would take you anywhere. 

We have used our popular Libby design for two of our evening tops as they are so comfortable to wear and are very lightweight if you are packing to go on holiday this Christmas. The styles are the Capri evening top and the Sienna evening top which is heavily sequined and comes in navy which is a nice change from black.

I hope you enjoy looking through our Collection and that there is something there which appeals. Don't forget we are always at the other end of the line if you have any queries.

Last photoshoot for this year. November 07 2013

Here we are at the 7th November already and what a lovely day, a bit chilly but clear blue skies.

We have had a hectic week in the design room getting the final touches made for the last of our Photoshoots for this year.

We have  some new Fleece designs, one being our Fleece Poncho,  just designed this week and we are really thrilled with it.  It would make a great present as it is one size and we have a new colour in Fleece - Grape, a lovely warm colour, perfect in the Poncho and looks great in the Swaledale Coat.  It will be online in the middle of next week.

Also on this shoot we photographing our Party, Cruise, Eveningwear Collection. A small selection of stunning sequined designs to fit most sizes and shapes. Hope you like them. Again they will be online by the middle of the week.

Autumn update. October 23 2013

Our new website is now almost two months old and we are as delighted with it as you seem to be.  We have one or two little tweaks to make which have come from your comments, which we value greatly and without which we would not be aware of its shortcomings,  so a big THANK YOU.

At our regular morning meetings we have decided that as the clocks alter this weekend and Bonfire night is almost upon us, it's time we introduced our new Winter Party Collection.

We will be photographing this over the next few days and it will be live at the end of next week. If you aren't signed up to receive our emails why not do it now and be amongst the first to view this new Collection.    Lovely Velour Tunics and Evening Trousers together with little tops just right for wearing with black trousers. Great items for that winter cruise or holiday, as they are light to pack and don't crease. 

Also new, as they keep warning us how cold it is going to get, are our new Fleece Trousers, very warm and cosy!
